The Events Agency is a dynamic and versatile operation. It is the only true Events Agency in South Africa.

The founder, Lynn Schultz, was marketing manager at the Royal Hotel in Durban when she saw a need to provide a service that fell somewhere between that offered by a Public Relations Company and an Advertising Agency. That is, an organisation that would be creative but would direct this creativity towards promoting a company or product in event form. This was the vision way back in 1988 and Lynn opened the doors as an events organising company, under the name of MacLennan & Schultz.

After years of perfecting skills, developing contacts and traipsing all over South Africa, the neighbouring regions, Europe, America, and the Middle East, it was felt that the time had come to trade as The Events Agency. That was in 1998.

The vision to create an events agency took 10 years to realise and it has to be said that the vision was right on target. Today, many advertising agencies have seen the need to do events properly and have formed their own events divisions.

But we have the distinction of being the first. The first events agency in South Africa by virtue of experience, background and vision. The first to use the word "event" in a corporate context. (Previously the word "event" was used to describe a concert, sports event, or similar) and the first to develop specialised brands. These brands are:
